MediCity Research Laboratory is the research laboratory of the Medical Faculty of University of Turku and headed by Professor Sirpa Jalkanen. The partner group has 7 senior investigators, 10 graduate students and 5 technicians. The group has been selected to a Center of Excellence in Finland (2008-2013) after competitive international evaluation It is also an associated member of the EMBL node FIMM (Finnish Institute of Molecular Medicine). MediCity belongs to BioCity Turku that is a modern biocenter with all core facilities needed for executing top quality biomedical research.
